Below we have outlined all the costs that incur during your application and training. There are costs that must be directly paid to TFL during the application process.

Must pay fees

These are charges that have to be made directly to TFL during the application process.

Cost: £80 Approx (This depends on how much your GP charges for it)

Where to pay: You will pay this to your GP directly.

The application process does not let you move onto the next step until this has been uploaded.

Where to pay:

Post Office

Important Information:
When you get to this stage, TFL will instruct you on how to apply for a DBS check with their authorised partner.

Aslong as you input the correct details and provide any proofs that they require this process is done fairly quickly.

Once your DBS check is completed, you will have to go to the Post Officet to pay for your application, where at this point the Post Office will double check your ID documents and submit your applicatin and payment on your behalf.

This will all clearly be explained as you go through the process (just contact us if you require any help).

Cost: £310 Total

(Will show as 2 separate fees: License Application Fee – £124, Grant of License Fee £186, which totals as £310)

Online via application process

Important Information:
You will be prompted to make this payment once your Medical Check and DBS check is completed. Once you pay this fee, you will have to wait to hear back from TFL so they can tell you to book your Topographical test.

Cost: £36 (1 re-sit allowed and will cost £16)

Where to pay: You will pay this at time of booking or at the test centre

Important Information:
You can only book your Topographical Skills Test after TfL has processed your application and invited you to book the test, which takes about 2-4 weeks.

The topographical test can only be carried out at TFL test centres which are located at Baker Street or West Kensington (TFL no longer allows the test to take place at private centres).

Cost: £36 (1 re-sit allowed and will cost £16)

Where to pay: You will pay this at time of booking or at the test centre

This test has been brought in since October 2021. This test can be taken after your license has been granted (if renewing license, then it may be required before being able to renew).

Optional fees for training

Fees you can avoid if you already have the required documents or pass the criteria.

We help you complete your PCO application or renewal from start to finish.We provide full guidance and are available via video call or your welcome to sit down one of our advisors at our training centre. We walk you through all the steps and ensure you have all your documents ready to ensure your application is approved as quick as possible

Cost: £40

Other training centres or application services charge anywhere from £50-£100 to help you with your application, we DON’T. This is because we are passionate about getting you on the road as quick and cheap as possible.  

We provide inhouse training sessions, classroom based, one to one, or online.

Important Information:
Pay online and get instant access to our online topographical skills training. As you only get 2 chances to pass the topographical skills test, it is wise to prepare. We offer online training which you can do at your own pace and it covers all the things you need to learn and practice to successfully pass the actual topographical skills test.

We will train you how to complete and pass the SERU assessment, these sessions can be done in class or online. Click here to learn more about how it works

All options include a mock test to evaluate your chances of passing
